Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg (CCCF)
Freiburg's university cancer centre, known for transplant immunology, graft-versus-host disease research and PSMA-PET-guided radiotherapy.
The CCCF is a German Cancer Aid Oncology Center of Excellence and a DKTK partner site within the Medical Center – University of Freiburg. Its haematology department is a leading centre for allogeneic transplantation and for the biology and treatment of graft-versus-host disease, where Robert Zeiser's work underpinned the ruxolitinib REACH trials. Radiation oncology under Anca-Ligia Grosu pioneered PSMA-PET-guided planning for prostate cancer, and the centre runs tumour immunology, urology, gastrointestinal surgery and paediatric programmes. Freiburg's Signalling Research clusters and the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology feed basic science into the clinic.
