Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen-Stuttgart

aka CCC Tübingen, Universitätsklinikum Tübingen, NCT SouthWest

Tübingen's cancer centre, the cradle of peptide cancer vaccines and the Immatics and CureVac spin-outs, with a strong melanoma and PET/MRI tradition.

The CCC Tübingen-Stuttgart is a German Cancer Aid Oncology Center of Excellence, DKTK partner site and, since 2023, part of the National Center for Tumor Diseases SouthWest. Hans-Georg Rammensee's immunology department mapped tumour-presented HLA peptides and spawned Immatics (TCR-based therapies) and, with Ingmar Hoerr, CureVac (mRNA), while the university's dermatology clinic is one of Europe's major melanoma centres. The Werner Siemens Imaging Center under Bernd Pichler pioneered combined PET/MRI, and the hospital runs large haematology, neuro-oncology and paediatric oncology programmes. Patients have access to peptide vaccine and TCR-T trials as well as molecular tumour boards.
