IUCT Oncopole – Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse

aka IUCT-O, Institut Claudius Regaud, Oncopole Toulouse

Toulouse's cancer campus, joining the Institut Claudius Regaud and the university hospital, and a world leader in multiple myeloma research.

The IUCT Oncopole opened in 2014 on the site of the former AZF chemical plant, combining the Institut Claudius Regaud (a UNICANCER centre founded in 1923) with the oncology services of the CHU de Toulouse, next to the Cancer Research Center of Toulouse (CRCT) and Pierre Fabre's research centre. Its haematology group (Michel Attal, Hervé Avet-Loiseau) anchors the Intergroupe Francophone du Myélome, whose trials established transplant, lenalidomide maintenance and minimal residual disease as pillars of myeloma care. Other strengths are melanoma, gynaecological and head and neck cancers, radiotherapy and an early-phase unit. Patients from Occitanie access molecular tumour boards, CAR-T and bispecifics through the site.
