Singapore's university hospital cancer institute, paired with the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore and known for gastric cancer, haematology and drug development research.
The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is the cancer arm of the National University Hospital and the National University Health System, working alongside the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, a research centre of excellence founded in 2008 that has produced leading work on gastric cancer genomics (Patrick Tan), leukaemia biology, RNA editing and cancer epigenetics. NCIS runs Singapore's largest haematology and stem cell transplant programme, a phase 1 unit with a long record of first-in-human trials, and genomic and pharmacogenomic research on Asian populations (Goh Boon Cher, Soo Ross). The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine's Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health contributes to the Singapore Chinese Health Study and cancer epidemiology. Patients have access to CAR-T, transplant, robotic surgery and trials across all major tumour types.
