OncoZON Comprehensive Cancer Network
The regional cancer network of the south-east Netherlands, linking Maastricht UMC+ with regional hospitals, and accredited by OECI as a Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Overview
OncoZON (Oncologisch Netwerk Zuidoost-Nederland) is a formal collaboration between Maastricht UMC+, the Maastro radiotherapy clinic and the general hospitals of Limburg and south-east Brabant. It organises shared tumour-specific care pathways, regional multidisciplinary tumour boards, concentration of complex surgery and joint participation in clinical trials so that patients receive the same standard of care wherever in the region they present. OncoZON is one of the few networks accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes under its Comprehensive Cancer Network designation.
