ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia

The Spedali Civili di Brescia is a large public hospital system in Lombardy and the teaching hospital of the University of Brescia. Its cancer programme spans medical oncology, radiotherapy, haematology with transplantation, surgical oncology and paediatric oncology, coordinated through a departmental cancer centre that is accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Research strengths include head and neck cancer, thyroid and endocrine tumours, breast cancer and radiotherapy, and the hospital is a major enroller in Italian cooperative group trials.
