Overview
Benjamin Kile is Executive Director of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, home of the Kinghorn Cancer Centre run jointly with St Vincent's Hospital, a role he took up in April 2023. Previously Dean of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University, his research on platelet and blood cell biology and cell death has been widely published, and he has refined Garvan's strategy around genomics, immunology and cancer.
