Overview
Dr Faisal Sultan is Chief Executive Officer of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC), heading a senior management team that includes Chief Medical Officer Dr M. Aasim Yusuf and medical directors for the Lahore and Peshawar hospitals. The hospitals are run by the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, whose Board of Governors is chaired by Dr Nausherwan Khan Burki and whose founder is Imran Khan. The Lahore hospital opened on 29 December 1994 and the Peshawar hospital on 29 December 2015, with a Karachi hospital under development; the institution reports that about 75 percent of its patients receive financially supported treatment.
