Overview
Hervé Dombret is a haematologist at Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris and a long-standing leader of the French ALFA and GRAALL leukaemia cooperative groups. He was first author of the 2015 Blood report of AZA-AML-001, the international phase 3 trial of azacitidine against conventional care regimens in older patients with newly diagnosed AML and more than 30 percent marrow blasts, which supported azacitidine's use in this population.
