Mark Faries was principal investigator of MSLT-II, the randomised trial showing completion lymph node dissection after a positive sentinel node biopsy does not improve melanoma-specific survival, which ended routine completion dissection worldwide, and a senior investigator of MSLT-I with Donald Morton. He leads surgical aspects of neoadjuvant immunotherapy trials and the melanoma programme at the Angeles Clinic.
