Nadia Harbeck
German breast oncologist whose ADAPT trials use biology to decide who can have less chemotherapy.
Overview
Nadia Harbeck leads the West German Study Group ADAPT programme, which uses genomic assays and early response to tailor neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy, and chaired the 2019 Nature Reviews Disease Primer on breast cancer. She is a co-author of the St Gallen consensus and of monarchE, and directs one of Europe's largest breast centres. Her focus is biology-driven de-escalation of chemotherapy.
