WHO's list of prequalified vaccines carries Walrinvax (Yuxi Zerun Biotechnology Co., Ltd, regulated by China's National Medical Products Administration) as a bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine in a single-dose vial, prequalified on 2 August 2024. It is the later of the two vaccines regulated by China's NMPA on the list, after Cecolin.
Recombinant HPV L1 capsid proteins form virus-like particles that train the immune system to make antibodies against the HPV types the vaccine covers.
