Mayo Clinic Arizona, spanning the Phoenix hospital and Scottsdale clinic, is one of the three campuses covered by Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center's NCI designation. Its proton beam therapy centre opened in 2016, and the campus runs bone marrow transplant, CAR-T and a myeloma programme built by A. Keith Stewart and Rafael Fonseca. Tanios Bekaii-Saab leads GI oncology and Mayo's Arizona early-phase trials, and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and an alliance with Arizona State University support research in medical technology and data science. The campus serves patients across the south-western US.
