Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center – Florida

aka Mayo Clinic Jacksonville

Mayo Clinic's Florida campus, building North America's first carbon-ion therapy facility alongside proton therapy and a cancer vaccine programme.

Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville campus is one of the three sites of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, sharing its single NCI comprehensive designation with Rochester and Phoenix. It is constructing an integrated oncology facility that houses proton beam therapy and will add carbon-ion therapy, planned as the first such facility in North America. Keith Knutson's immunology programme develops breast cancer vaccines targeting HER2 and folate receptor alpha, and the campus runs bone marrow transplant, CAR-T and a large lung, GI and haematologic oncology practice serving the south-eastern US.
