Kirsten Fischer
Led CLL14, which established one year of venetoclax plus obinutuzumab as a fixed-duration, chemotherapy-free CLL treatment.
Overview
Kirsten Fischer was principal investigator of CLL14, the German CLL Study Group trial showing twelve months of venetoclax plus obinutuzumab produces deep, MRD-negative remissions and superior progression-free survival compared with chlorambucil-obinutuzumab in unfit patients with untreated CLL, creating the fixed-duration treatment paradigm. She coordinated the CLL8 and CLL10 chemoimmunotherapy trials and leads long-term follow-up of CLL14.
