Overview
John Seymour was principal investigator of MURANO, the trial showing two years of venetoclax plus rituximab dramatically improves progression-free and overall survival compared with bendamustine-rituximab in relapsed CLL, the first randomised proof of venetoclax's benefit and the first fixed-duration targeted regimen. He co-led the first-in-human venetoclax studies with the Melbourne group that discovered BCL2 inhibition and leads haematology at Peter Mac.
