Overview
Peter Hillmen (Leeds) was chief investigator of the UK NCRI FLAIR trial, which showed ibrutinib plus venetoclax with MRD-guided duration improves progression-free and overall survival compared with FCR in untreated CLL, and of the CLARITY trial that first tested this combination. He led the UK CLL trials group for two decades and was also central to the development of eculizumab for PNH.
