Overview
María-Victoria Mateos (Salamanca) was principal investigator of ALCYONE, which established daratumumab with bortezomib-melphalan-prednisone in transplant-ineligible myeloma, and of the Spanish QuiRedex and the international AQUILA trials showing that treating high-risk smouldering myeloma with lenalidomide-dexamethasone or daratumumab delays progression and improves survival. She leads the Spanish Myeloma Group and IMWG guideline work.
