Patricia Pautier
Paris oncologist who led LMS-04, the trial that showed doxorubicin plus trabectedin lengthens survival in advanced leiomyosarcoma compared with doxorubicin alone.
Overview
Patricia Pautier is a medical oncologist at Gustave Roussy who treats sarcomas and gynaecological cancers. She was first author of the 2022 Lancet Oncology report of the French Sarcoma Group LMS-04 trial, in which doxorubicin plus trabectedin followed by trabectedin maintenance improved progression-free survival compared with doxorubicin alone as first-line treatment for metastatic or unresectable leiomyosarcoma; the 2024 update showed an overall survival gain.
