Bordeaux oncologist who led CABONE, the trial that showed cabozantinib shrinks or stabilises osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma after standard treatment has failed.
Overview
Antoine Italiano leads early-phase trials and the sarcoma unit at Institut Bergonié in Bordeaux. He was first author of the 2020 Lancet Oncology report of CABONE, the French Sarcoma Group phase 2 trial in which cabozantinib produced responses and prolonged disease control in advanced Ewing sarcoma and osteosarcoma. He also leads the PROFILER and other molecular profiling programmes in France.
