Bordeaux's dedicated cancer hospital, a UNICANCER centre known for sarcoma, early-phase trials and precision medicine.

Founded in 1923 and named after the radiobiologist Jean Bergonié, the Institut Bergonié is the UNICANCER comprehensive cancer centre for Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It is a national reference centre for sarcomas within the French Sarcoma Group and NetSarc network, and runs an early-phase trials unit that is part of INCa's CLIP² network. Research with Université de Bordeaux and Inserm covers sarcoma biology, tumour genomics and radiotherapy. Patients can access phase 1 trials, molecular tumour boards, reconstructive surgery and supportive care on one site.
