Stephen Freedland is a urologist at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles and the Durham VA. He was first author of the 2023 New England Journal of Medicine report of EMBARK, in which enzalutamide with or without leuprolide improved metastasis-free survival compared with leuprolide alone in men with high-risk biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer. His research also covers obesity, diet and outcomes in prostate cancer.
