Denovo Biopharma
Denovo is a San Diego biotech that revives failed drugs by finding the genetic marker of patients who did respond; it took enzastaurin back into phase 3 in lymphoma and glioblastoma with its DGM1 biomarker.
Overview
Denovo Biopharma, based in San Diego, licenses drugs that failed in unselected populations and re-tests them in patients selected by germline biomarkers it discovers. Its lead programme, enzastaurin (DB102) with the DGM1 marker, was taken into the phase 3 ENGINE trial in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and a phase 3 trial in glioblastoma, both registered on ClinicalTrials.gov under Denovo as lead sponsor.
