Overview
Tracon Pharmaceuticals, based in San Diego, developed carotuximab (TRC105), an antibody against endoglin on tumour blood vessels, which failed the phase 3 TAPPAS trial with pazopanib in angiosarcoma in 2019, and then in-licensed the subcutaneous PD-L1 antibody envafolimab, whose ENVASARC trial in undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma did not meet its endpoint in 2023. The company ceased operations in 2024. Its trials remain on ClinicalTrials.gov under Tracon as lead sponsor.
