Marseille's cancer centre, strong in haematology and transplantation, pancreatic surgery, breast cancer and immuno-oncology research.

Founded in 1925, the Institut Paoli-Calmettes is the UNICANCER comprehensive cancer centre for Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Its research arm is the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille (CRCM, with Inserm, CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université), and it belongs to the Marseille Immunopôle cluster alongside the Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy. Clinical strengths include a major allogeneic transplant and leukaemia programme, high-volume pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery, breast oncology under Anthony Gonçalves, and an early-phase unit. It runs a large tumour biobank and a molecular profiling programme for patients across the region.
