TE-1182 is an experimental antibody-drug conjugate from T-E Meds that carries two different cell-killing drugs to cancer cells with HER2 on their surface. It has been tested only in the laboratory, and the FDA has given it orphan drug status for gastric cancer.
TE-1182 is a HER2-directed antibody-drug conjugate developed by T-E Meds on the CHO-TEM platform established with CHO Pharma, which produces the trastuzumab antibody. Each antibody carries four T-E Meds drug bundles with one MMAF and one exatecan each (eight payload molecules). The company reports that in cell lines with high, moderate (trastuzumab deruxtecan-resistant) and low HER2 expression it was more cytotoxic than trastuzumab deruxtecan, and that it inhibited tumour growth in a JIMT-1 xenograft model; these are preclinical results. On 6 October 2026 the FDA granted orphan drug designation for the treatment of gastric cancer to a trastuzumab-MMAF/exatecan dual-payload antibody-drug conjugate sponsored by T-E Meds.
Trastuzumab, an antibody against HER2, is site-specifically conjugated to four drug bundles, each carrying one MMAF (a microtubule inhibitor) and one exatecan (a topoisomerase I inhibitor), giving a drug-to-antibody ratio of 8 with two payloads of different mechanism, as the developer describes it.
